    Default Quick advice TS-222

    Gday all,

Real quick one I am in the process of building my new shed and migrating all my tools back to there rightful home however the one tool I need to upgrade is my table saw which is currently a POS contractor that I wont even waste my time mentioning or better yet yours

I have seen a Woodman TS222 with sliding table for sale for just over 1K and looks to be in ok condition however I was hoping to get some advice before driving out to have a look at it and as I am unable to find any old manuals (links if you know where I can get one) not to sure about it. I'm not in a huge rush as plans for the new workshop are being approved with the local counsel and construction wont start until around August, that being said am I better off holding off and and spending a bit more?

    240V 2.2KW unit

Please let me know any pro's or con's or anything to look out for?

    Thanks

Looks exactly the same as the old TruPro we had at work.

If the fence is the same as the one here 12" Tilt arbour saw then I'd have a look at replacing it with something better; I could never get it to clamp square to the blade, but it didn't matter as ours was just used as a breakdown rip saw.

Don't know anything about the sliding table, the rest of it is a good solid machine.

I believe this is an MBS 300, branded as a Woodman. I have the same saw branded as a TruPro sold by Gregory Machinery, I have the sliding table on mine. I find it a good saw for what I do, mainly breaking down bigger pieces that I have milled into smaller useable pieces for projects, I find it accurate enough for my work. I break down the odd sheet of ply and MDF as well.

Search for MBS 300 on this forum, and google "mbs 300 review", you should get plenty of info.
