Old school AMAC Vs not quite as old school Carbatec KS-12K
I'm in the market for a decent bench saw as my current contractors saw is doing my head in regarding accuracy and over all performance. Brand new is out of the question unless I buy a cheep Chinese one but I'd really rather avoid that, so old school second hand but good quality it is.... two saws have popped up on trade me, a big ole beast of a 1.5hp AMAC and a smaller 1hp Carbatec KS-12k, now the only reason I like the KS is because of the sliding table but a bit of poking around on the net makes me think the AMAC is miles ahead in quality and performance. I guess what I'm after here is some conformation either way, should I get the AMAC and just spend some time making a good sled, or is the sliding table KS the better bet.
Thanks for taking the time to reply and cheers.
