Suitable TS Blade?
Guys & Girls,
I'm pleased to say that a TSC-10HB may be shortly be acquired. It does not come with a blade but they will probably throw a decent rip blade into the deal. I've been looking at the Triton triple cut 254mm blade from Bunnings for some fine work. Would this go alright in the TSC10HB?
Cheers

If you only have a rip and a fine tooth blade you will be constantly changing between them and that will be just one big PITA. The best blade to start out with is a general purpose blade with about 40 teeth which will crosscut and rip OK and you will probably leave that one on your saw most of the time. Then think about purchasing rip/fine etc depending on your priorities.

When I purchased the delta tablesaw from Carbatec it came with the combination 40 tooth blade as BobL suggests you get. For most applications of general crosscutting and ripping this has been fine.
I have gone out and bought a nice new 80 tooth crosscut blade from Peacock saws, to use on the hardwood I purchased from E Mac/Studley. It eliminates the problem of the cut splintering when cutting I am making those important cross cuts. I do only use it specifically on this timber.
I recommend buying a blade from a local dealer who supplies brands such as CMT/Freud etc rather than going to bunnings. With your local dealer (I use Peacock/Carbatec/Tradetools) you usually can find a person who has a great deal of knowledge on the subject of saw blades.
At Bunnings you are run the risk of getting some blow in/pimply kid who knows next to nothing. (My favourite quotes from Bunnings staff are: "If it's not on the shelf I don't know if we have it" and - "I dunno this is my first day in the toolshop/paintshop etc")
Besides, your local is probably as price competitive.
Goodluck - and buy local!!
