Blade in the right way? [JUST kidding ]

Does the saw have a riving knife? If so it might be out of alignment to the blade - this will push the wood sideways onto the blade and generate sawdust.

    Hi Ray
apart from giving the vendor a call here are the things I would check

Is the fence true to the blade
This is a two step process. First check the blade to the mitre slots using a dial indicator. And then check the fence to the mitre slot.

I would also check the accuracy of the cut using a vernier. Do a cut around 20mm wide on a long stick of around 600mm.... measure the width of the cut at the start, along the cut, and the end. Should be identical or within 0.05mm if all is OK

before doing any of these things please check the blade arbour for runout and the blade for warping

Youtube is your friend for set up procedures

    Regards

    Rob
