Rating on the heater is 2000-2400W.
My ammeter showed a start up surge of 24A on the DC and that never tripped the 16A breaker I put in place of the wire fuse, even with the saw running at the time.

Hi Dave... Ive just read through 4 pages of this thread and I didnt get to find out what table saw you bought, if in fact you have bought one yet? I was looking at some cheaper alternative from H&F but have now been considering the Harvey after reading these posts??? Does anyone in Brisbane have one?

I decided on the Harvey but I haven't bought one yet. I've been too busy with work, travel and other stuff. I also have a couple of projects to finish which don't require a table saw. Then there's my unresolved issue of power capacity in the shed. So I thought I could wait a little longer before I bought one.

I bought the Harvey from Bigger Boys Toys in Wollongong. Great price as well as being able to easily pick it up.
I've had it for about 2 months now and absolutely love it. It's solid, very easy to set it up all square. Fence is nice and square and solid.
