At the time the time it was a descision between a DELTA and the MBS300. I was favouring a Delta at the time when i found they were sourcing a lot of components from Taiwan .
As the MBS300 is made there anyway, there was only one choice as the MBS had a very good reputation, solid as a rock and had much better specs than the Delta unisaw.
I have never regreted my decision for one moment.

FYI i paid $2100 for the saw which included
Sliding table ,suva gaurd, 2 blades, scribing wheel, and excaliber fence. I still use the original fence however.

Was an amazing deal at the time!

    Regards

    Steve

steve, lookig on the mwe site, they do advertise an mbs 300.
my next question is, how do you find using the sliding table, for accuracy and have you cut any 8x4 sheets with it and how did it handle?
you sure got a good deal with yours

    Michael,

The sliding table is accurate and beefy. It cuts supports 8 x 4 sheets without a problem.
I moved from my previous residence that had a much larger workshop than i have now, so it put the table on if i need it. I often use a crosscut sled for smaller work such as cabinets as it is easier for me with the smaller workshop.
If i only need one sheet to be cut then i use a circular saw to cut it in smaller workable pieces. More than one and i put on the slider!

If you purchase your saw then unless you get a really good deal or would want to cut sheetgoods regularly, then a well made crosscut sled would probably do. You can always buy one later!

As far as the deal i got remember it was a long time ago and prices have gone up since.

However, anyone in business these days is prepared to take a reasonable offer.
