Has anyone played with the Evolution table saws? $500 at Total Tools and seem to get decent reviews from what I've seen

It is the same RBADGED machine of the Sydney Tools' $299 Bayer BT255 + optional $80 stand.

Sorry to drag up an old thread. I'm in the same boat as the OP. Looking for a table saw around $1000. The only thing is I have about $500 worth of Bunnings vouchers, hence why I'm looking at the Dewalt 7491 (special order at Bunnings). Or the other option is https://www.carbatec.com.au/machiner...esaws/ts-j315c

I'm just starting my woodwork adventures so it'd be mainly for projects etc. Thoughts on either of the above? TIA.

Some years ago, I bought a 30cm Ryobi T/S. Direct drive, seems to have all the guts I'll ever need for 30mm and thinner stock.
    The fence is reasonably accurate.
    BUT.
The stand part is really flimsy/tinny and is no solid base whatsoever for the vibration of the saw = it walks.
I added rubber feet. No help when they get dusty. The saw gets parked in a corner of the shop.

Drag the beast out, clean off the table. Then add 3 concrete blocks to a sling under the table.

Look carefully at the table part of a table saw. If I had the space, I'd bolt it into the concrete floor.

Hi, any further ideas on the Evolution table saw from Total Tools. The blade appears to be different to the Bayer BT255
    Cheers
