Old Woodman Table Saw Restoration..............
G'day all,
Like a number of males I have a couple of restoration jobs on the go - one of them is me old 'Woodman Table Saw' - sadly there is not much I can give in details about it other than - Motor power 1.5KW - 240/50 Volt - Class F - Amps 7 - Phase 1 - Saw blade and bore 250mm (10")x20mm - Speed at load 4100RPM - Cutting depth at 90degs/45degs 82/58mm.
How I know I have seen a website where these things are available - I pretty darn sure that I did find them in our Forum Sponsors listing on the right of me screen - but can I find then now - NO!!!!!!!!!!!! - plus I dont even know what they are called.
Spring Adjustable Handles.jpg I have several of these that have broken handles and would like to use the same set up if possible. Any ideas where to look or who may have them would be greatly appreciated.
Another problem is finding a mitre gauge to suit the mitre trench Mitre Trench Size.jpgI'm thinking if I can not find a suitable gauge should I consider having table top trench resized to suit more common trench sizes used today?.

G'day Kev,
They are called ratchet handles. McJings sell them but you may run into trouble with thread size.

Kelvindale Products
Have a look at this site - https://www.essentracomponents.com.a...d=82&Itemid=59
They are in Whetherill Park in Sydney. These are industrial grade handles etc.
I don't know about minimum order values etc, but a quick phone call will set you up with either a cash sale or advice on a reseller who will sell in our sort of quantities.
Good luck with your restoration.

what's wrong with buying some 5/8" x 5/16"bar and making your own mitre gauge?
would have to be a lot cheaper than getting your slot widened
PS just looked at the link - looks extremely interesting. Did note that prices are exclusive of GST thus is probably not supplying to the publicregards

OK now, plus GST
Seems to be O.K now. I used to deal with this company in my working days, they were a great supplier. I saw them at an Engineering exhibition a few years ago, and had a chat with the lady on the stand. She had worked at that company for many years, and was quite happy to sell to the general public. Industry in general quotes prices as excluding GST, as most purchase order software systems have provision to add the GST at order placement.
Good luck with your project.

A site which offers to the public must have price inclusive of GST pricing by law, hence my comment

Thanks all for your comments. I've refreshed me Google search, removed the link from me bookmarks, even promised not to use the Lords name in vain but the result is still the same. This is what keeps coming up on me computer.
website image.jpg
I've gone to other threads else where in here clicked on other links and they all open up no problems at all.
But no problems we all have our ups and downs so gotta move on, at least I know now what I'm looking for.
Sawdust Maker, looks like I'll be making me own, was looking at making me table saw top compliant with the most common sizes used today, would make life that little bit easier instead of having to re-config any attachments I might buy to suit me old saw.
Again gentlemen, thanks for all your comments.
