power gets hooked up tomorrow! lucky my brother is a sparky so it is costing bugger all esp with three phase connections! - how many amps is the plug that other 3 phase saws have??? mine came with 32A. i think this is excessive for the saw....

I gave the saw a really good clean the other day and she came up shmicko, obviousy not as good as a new one but i'm happy.

The rear rollers on the fence may need replacing because it does not pull in 100% square and there is a bit of play because they are hammered (i think new rollers should correct this). i will just need to check before every cut!

I just had a look at the chevpac site and a new riving knife is $250 ex GST (not inc postage)!!!! i was very shocked by this. for a little bit of steel i thought that was excessive. Can one of the people with a riving knife on their TS-222 or MBS-300 have a look and see if i could make one easily. or even take a photo for me??? It just screws in doesnt it?

Hopefully everything goes well witht the power hook up tomorrow and i can finally stir the beast!

    cheers

    He SiRo,

Its been great, bullet proof motor with heaps of grunt! Unfortunately on my machine the fence is a bit dodgy and does not clamp square. The rollers on it are flogged out with some of the pins that hold them on snapped off. I havent had the time or focus to sort it out so just check that one.
A riving knife would be very handy esp with a dodgy fence (i had one kickback but have been super careful about body position ect).

The sliding table is fantastic and love it! How old is the saw you are looking at? They have been in production for a very long time with numerous upgrades ie. fence. )
