Went to buy a thicknesser
Hi all,
After all the good oil given by the forum I went and got a thicknesser.
I have a shiney new Carba-tec 15' deluxe model.
Whilst there the wife, get this, said you might as well get what you want while we are here to save coming back time after time .
So as well as the thicknesser I also have a 14' bandsaw, 6' jointer, 6' belt/disc sander and a couple of roller stands for good measure .
If anyone is interested I am giving away my sherwood 10' combo machine, motor needs replacing but the unit itself is as new.
Cheers Mosh

Get what you want and you only got that much. The gift horse might have bolted.
Lucky barstool.

The TSC-10HB Heavy Duty Cabinet Saw : CARBA-TEC is a great machine, had I been able to at the time I would have gone for Carba-Tec 10" HD Left Tilt Saw Bench (CTH-110L) : CARBA-TEC
Given the money I'd be be tossing over a SawStop or Powermatic.

Hey Ross,
Fully understand where you are coming from, however having spent all day playing with new toys and run just about every stick of wood through the machines I did pay attention to a particular to a piece if curly Jarrah 200mm wide that came up a velvet treat for said missus, she loved it, quite a long piece just hope it keeps her busy for a while doing her girly stuff while I do big man stuff .
Cheers Mosh

Do you still have the combo machine? I have a spare motor which I think may fit it - am in Melbourne - happy to pay for roadfreight.
Thanks and regards
