DW 125 Radial Arm Saw User Manual
I recently scanned this manual for my brother, and put it on the Internet for him to download. I want to clean out this space, but before I do, I thought I would give anyone here a chance to download it themselves. I will be cleaning it off some time next week, I think.
Someone might even download it, even if they don't want it, in case someone else wants it later, when it has gone from my space.
You can find it today at http://www.pbase.com/denbigh/dw_125 each image at pBase can be viewed in various sizes, and to get them at about 3500x2500 you should view the image as 'original', and then right-click on the image, select Save Image As...
I would appreciate any feedback on whether you have/had any problems.
PS. My DW 125, purchased in 1980 is still going strong, and has never never let me down. Why they stopped making these excellent machines is beyond me.

G'day Septimusfry and welcome to the forum.
I have exactly the same saw, purchased 1984, and up until very recently had no problems. My problem is currently shown in
http://www.woodworkforums.ubeaut.com...ad.php?t=64939
and it probably would be worth your while removing the motor cover and checking your leads from the motor to the switch.
I still have my manual but will take the opportunity to download an electronic version as I only have a paper version. Many thanks.
As a follow up, it is my understanding that DeWalt "sold" the radial arm division in 1990 - I can't find out where or to whom if any it was sold.
Regards,
Bob

DW 125 Users Manual
I hope somebody can help, I need a users manual for a DW 125 RAS. As I have just bought one on ebay and I'm a site joiner not a bench joiner so I want to make sure I set it up correctly in the garage.
Thank you in advance

Not much help to you at this stage I know - I have a manual but no scanner etc to get a copy to you, checked the site and the electronic manual offered by Septimusfry has gone - the best I could suggest at this stage is to email him.
Regards,
Bob

DW125 DW 125 DeWalt 125 DeWalt125
Big title so anyone looking is likely to find it...
OK. I took the copy of the manual off my website, as it was taking too much space. I assumed, wrongly as it seems, that someone would take a copy and make it available to you Mr Chips's.
I have just put a zip file http://www.black-sugar.net/BigFiles/DW125.zip
which is about 25Megs or so. Just stick that link into your browser and it should download. Let me know by pm if there is a problem. Perhaps someone this time will take a copy and keep it available for anyone later on. I can leave it where it is for some time, but no promises it will not disappear. It is a pity there is no 'files' area for leaving useful data on THIS site.
Do me a favour and send a PM if you do download the manual, so I can wallow in vicarious pleasure.

Septimusfry
You have the satisfaction there are still people downloading your manual.
Many thanks for leaving it on the net.
I have just bought a DW125, without a manual.
Out of interest, what is the size of the motor on a 125, and how does this compare to the 1251?
Am I right in guessing the 125s are older, but better made than the 1251s?
Many thanks again

DW125 DW 125 Manual
Hi Folks,
Having received another request for the manual, I have this morning put it back on my server. If you follow this link you just need to click on the zip file name and your browser should just FTP it down. I used relatively high resolution to scan in the pages, so you can see the finer details of some of the stuff.
Good luck.
It would be encouraging to know each time someone downloads, just drop me a PM. That way, I can tell if it needs to be kept on the server.
PS. This site only allows an attachment of 100KB as a zip file, so I cannot get it onto the site for all time. Interesting that it allows nearly 50MB for an avi video file...
