Jeffwood 702 Thicknesser
Hi all,
I have been given a Jeffwood 702 Thicknesser from my father-in-law. It has a 3 phase motor.
I don't have 3 phase in my workshop so would need to upgrade my power supply which I know will be relatively expensive.
The unit appears to be in quite good condition.
Does anyone know what this would be worth?
Thanks for any advice.

Can it be run from a VFD? If so, you wouldn't need to move it on.
See if the motor has a wiring plate on it, and post up a good, clear picture of that. There are folks here who know a lot more than I do on this, and could probably tell whether a VFD can be used on it or not.

Update.
I have spent the week researching all things VFD's and now understand what they are all about. So please disregard my previous questions about their purpose.
I think a VFD is definitely the way to go however I haven't yet been able to get back to the machine to take photos of the motor wiring set-up and post them on here.
Acknowledging I haven’t been able to post the photos, are any of the VFD experts here able to point out any obvious roadblocks that I should be aware of that would exclude a motor from being compatible with using a VFD?
The reason I ask is because I do not want to go to the trouble and expense of moving the machine to my house if it will not work with a VFD.
I will still get those photos when I can.
Thanks all for any advice.

UPDATE # 2
Here are the photos of the motor wiring plate and wiring box.
Since my first post I've also had a 3PH jointer offered to me and I've included photos of that as well. (The firsr 2 pics are the thicknesser and the 2nd two are the jointer)
Cheers for any advice guys.
