    Default Over Pricing

I have a Jet 22/44 Drum sander and I was wanting a new infeed conveyor belt. I went to the mob from whom I originally brought the machine to get a placement conveyor belt only to be told "sorry we are no longer the agents for Jet and you need to go to Carba......" . I phoned Carba..... and was told "they are $156 and we would have to order in which would take 2 weeks". If it wasn't for the fact they had nil stock I probably would have parted with $156 and brought one.

I decided to visit another machinery mob who sell another brand a drum sanders but they didn't have any in stock and the bloke said we would have to get one made up. I asked if the supplier was local and can I deal direct with them. He looked around to see who was watching and said I shouldn't do this but wrote their supplier down for me. I thanked him and paid for some other items I had and left. The details he gave me was for Abrasi-Flex (they are about 5 minutes from my home). So I went to them with the result being "yes we can make up with the cost being $55.00".
