To gain access to the cutter-head you 1st remove the front dust chute, followed by the plastic shroud that encloses the cutter head. Note; when installing the discharge chute you have the option to orientate the outlet on the left or right side of this machine.
Once the cutter head shroud is removed, the locking mechanism for the cutter-head self engages. To rotate the cutter head you need to depress the locking mechanism, then release it re-lock the cutter head. The locking mechanisms location is highlighted with an arrow within the next photo.
To remove a cutter blade loosen off and remove the 2 retaining screws. Note; the supplied long handled allen key is made of a soft alloy, and imo needs to be replaced with a hardened steel allen key. The 2 retaining screws that secure each blade in position have a tight fitting tolerance that enables each cutting blade to self locate with a dedicated cutting edge projection. When work is complete; reinstall the cutter-head shroud and the front dust chute.
Important safety warning; turn off the power supply to the machine before gaining access to the cutter-head.
