    Question Tanner Thicknesser

I recently purchased a circa 1950 Tanner Thicknesser. It's in good condition but in need of some maintenance and adjustment. Is it possible to still obtain a copy of an owners / service manual?

G’day there Ian T – greetings from the West across the Nullarbor in Perth – just wondering if you ever got any follow up info re your quest for information on your Tanner (NZ) thicknesser m/c ??? re getting a copy of the Owner’s manual etc.,
I have one of these solid m/c’s which I have owned for many years now – it was bought at auction for a interim purposes subject to getting a wider m/c later down the track – but over the years I have found that the machine does all I want of it re thichnessing and you don’t see too much timber these days greater than the old 12 inches wide stuff - the machine has done a sterling service over the years Cheers and regards Bruce

Hi sheoak17, glad to hear that the tanner 6" is ok. I just picked up one for free from Gumtree it has been left out in the rain for a bit. But the bearings are still good, motor was seized 1/2 HP I will pull it apart and have a look. What size motor does your have?

Wife said something about me just saving the seller a trip to the tip. )
