Woodfast 6" Jointer Parts
Hi All,
Long time lurker and new member (brand new to post this). I recently picked up a 60's era Woodfast 6' jointer. It's in fairly good condition all round just needs a really good clean. But once I standard pulling the fence apart I noticed the locking mechanism has been damaged and has had some parts replaced at some point.
Wondering if anyone might have or know where I could possibly source some parts. In particular I'm after the bits circled on the attached image. I believe the left part is called the fence clamp plate and appears to have been replaced with some mild steel plate and a bolt. Doesn't look original and doesn't fit in the table properly.

My real concern is the right hand part which has that lock nut pretty firmly stuck on the threaded sleeve. I'm letting it rest in some penetrating oil to see if it'll budge but I'm not optimistic with the number of damaged threads on it...
I have also seen some similar parts for sale for a Delta 6" Jointer on ebay but not sure if these would fit, anyone have experience with this?
Parts arent' expensive but the shipping is a killer, so bit of a risk ordering the parts from the US and not knowing if they'll actually work or not.
Cheers
Mike

That's a pretty simple part and if you can't locate a new one, any competent fitter & turner or someone with some metalworking skills would be able to knock one up very easily.

Snowballs chance in hell at finding it, you will have to make it or have it made.

I have just acquired one of these beauties myself and I was wondering how you had gone?
I need to get some parts too, like the plastic ball for the fence adjustment etc.
Also, the one I have is 3 phase and I need it converted to single phase, is yours 3 phase?
How is the restoration going?
