Woodman 16" combo
Any thoughts on the new (I think) 16" Woodman combo jointer/thicknesser from Gregory Machinary in QLD. I will be in the market for either a combo or individual machines shortly, next 6 or so months. If the quality is ok it seems like a lot of jointing realestate for about $4500.
Any thoughts or anyone seen one in person. From what i have read on the 12" version they appear to be reasonable for general hobby work.
I would love a euro machine but i believe they would be significantly more expensive even for a 12" version, let alone a 16".

I have the 12" Woodman. I use for general hobby work as you describe.
I think its a pretty good unit.
Helical head gives a nice finish to whatever i've put through it.
Cheers

I had the 12" delivered in January. Beautiful machine. So easy to flick from one mode to the other. Dust/chip collection excellent. Perfectly level tables and square fence out of the box. No snipe. If the 16" is the same you can't go wrong.

I can't comment on the one you are talking about but any Woodman gear I've used in the past or seen has been very good. Well made and easy to setup.

Just wondering if you have purchased the machine. It looks like a great unit

No I have not had the time as usual to look around properly. Kids and work always getting in the way.
