Atl Composites have a venturi style unit for use with a compressor. see http://www.atlcomposites.com/pdf/vacbag-equip.pdf
I have one of the rotary vane vacuum pumps and it is a great unit for both small and large jobs and you can easily vary the amount of vacuum.
see http://www.atlcomposites.com/pdf/vacbagpumps.pdf
hope this helps,

Make tour own it is not as hard as you think. All you need is an old fridge pump that still works an old out of date gas cylinder a vacuum gage and a vacuum switch the gage and Switch are the expensive bits$200 there abouts the rest can almost get for nothing This is one i have made some time ago it will pull down to 28 inches of mercury more than you will ever need

Thats a neat little unit chris
I have a vacuum pump already and was hoping to make a auto cycling unit like the one on that site We had one similar to this where i used to work and it was great, and since i have a pump, and cylinder (going to use a keg) i just need the fittings, i want to also be able to use it on the lathe as a vacuum clamp.
thanks.
