    Default BOSCH 2000W 305MM GLIDING COMPOUND MITRE SAW GCM12GDL Dimensions

    Hi all,

    I am currently designing a workbench for my workshop and am planning on buying the 12in Bosch Mitre saw but Im not sure the exact dimensions of the saw. Does anyone have one that would be able to provide me with the dimensions of the saw? I'm needing the height of the work surface, depth from front to back and then the width from edge to edge. If anyone could help me out that would be awesome.

    Deck height is approximately 94mm (I built mine to 100 and packed the height with offcuts of rubber to suit), width is 685mm with the support extensions in and the stop removed. Depth front to back, allow up to 700. Mine is built into a 600 deep bench, which works fine for me but there's a fair bit of overhang. Partly due to the dust extraction hood, which required moving the saw away from the wall so there's more overhang than I'd like, but I can't make the bench deeper due to a doorway. But I think you need some overhang for accessibility of the front controls.

    My attempt...Dust Hood For Bosch Glide Saw

    You do need the front overhanging for the reasons outlined above. What is most important with this saw is a very good dust hood hooked up to a very capable dust extraction system. Bosch's pathetic attempt is next to useless.
