Default Carbatec 400-800 drum sander-infeed roller needed.

Help! The infeed roller on my drum sander has shredded the rubber sleeve and I need a replacement urgently. I'll try Carbatec tomorrow morning but I'm not confident they'll have one in Sydney. It's part 102A in the attached diagram.

Does anyone have an old WDS400 drum sander that they are cannibalising for parts, that they would be willing to sell the infeed roller from, please. If so, please PM me. Sydney preferred.

If you can't find one, have you thought about getting it rerubbered? Don't know if anyone Sydney way does it, but there is a mob in Wingfield that does it. Industrial Rubber Sales Pty Ltd, 08-8268-4077 https://industrial-rubber-sales-pty-ltd.business.site/

Thanks for that, Kryn. If I can't get a replacement that sounds like it will be the go.

Carbatec came back to me first thing this morning - they had one one the books and were checking that it was physically there. Came back to me and found it in WA, so it's now ordered and hopefully, soon on its way to me.

Thanks to Andy for the offer of the use of his machine, and Kryn for the suggestion that would have been my next step. I can now sleep again. Also, a big thanks to Carbatec Customer Care for chasing it down.

I had the same issue a few years ago with mine, I was sanding some ver thin stock and some lumps of rubber traped under the feed belt resulted in sanding some thin spots in the rubber belt itself. Carbatec told me there were similar issues with other machines and there were a faulty batch of feed rollers.

Interesting info, Mark, but I bought mine second hand about10 years or more ago, so I suspect it's just old age.

The roller arrived yesterday and the sander was back in use today.
