    Default Drill press, return spring.

    Today the return spring in my drill press broke. After 32 years I guess that is reasonable.
    The drill press is a Taiwanese made unit called a True Tool. Not sure the company exists anymore.
    Wondering if anyone has replaced a return spring for a pedestal/bench drill press and where one might go to try and get a similar type spring?.
    Seems a pity to ditch the whole machine over just a broken spring.

    Contact Peerless in Melbourne, they just may have one that will fit, give them the width of the spring and number of coils un tensioned and diameter of housing it is mounted in.

    Well, looked on ebay just in case there was something. Lo and behold.
    Something like this is what I'm after, might take a bit of faffing round till the ideal one is found.
