Old drill press not starting - repairer in Brisbane?
Hi folks,
Anyone know of a good small motor repair person in Brisbane? My old drill press isn't starting (and needed a replacement switch anyway, I had been powering it on/off from the wall).
And unfortunately I am a complete menace when it comes to anything electrical!
Cheers,
Danny

It may be just the switch from what you say. Time to find a friendly electrician or try Yellow pages look for motor rewind or elect motor repairs. Usually located in the industrial estates in most towns. Take the head of the drillpress to them and that way they can do the switch and motor for you. If it is just a bench top press then take the whole thing.
Regards
John

If not starting and old may also need a new start capacitor.

Yeah, my guess is switch and/or capacitor. Just hoping to find a reliable repairer!
