Thread: Drum sander, is this a good buy?

I have a similar unit and it works really well, just check the belt tracking is working ok as they can be a pain to sort out if they are playing up.

These units are not designed to hog off material, you need to take light passes and the more powerful your dust collection the better. I would recommend at least 2hp.

Also sanding woods with a lot of resin like Pine is a big no no, you'll clog and burn your sandpaper pretty much straight away.
