    Default Durden Pacemaker

Inherited an old 60s? combination unit. Has saw with no tilt (the table rises and falls -not the shaft) 6" planer and provision for what appears to be a horizontal borer/ morticer? off the end of the combined drive shaft.
What I do have is the table which seems to mate with threaded holes in the side of the main unit and a support bracket holding an adjustable height shaft to support the table with provisions for the table to pivot. If this is correct the table could not pivot whilst bolted to the main frame? The end of the main shaft is threaded to take a chuck or collet of some sort. But the table makes no sense.
Would be useful if I can work out how.
Would appreciate if anyone is familiar with these or has pics old catalogues or whatever.
My dad wanted me to have this when he died and I previously had a 12" radial as my main saw, so tis still handy (also ended up with my granddads workbench. still trying to get the bench dog loose, doubt it's been used since he did parquetry flooring for a whole house with a hand plane in the 60s, one at a time fitted and numbered- not something I'll be trying soon!!! He be like that though.

The table on the side is for horizontal boring ( Dowling ) They are a pretty common machine and I'm sure someone will come up with manuel or maybe some pics of the setup

Is it the Blue or Black unit?? My Father had one and the side unit is for disc sanding, doing mortices, and as China said for doweling, etc.

I have also recently purchased a Durden - but my unit is Green. Did they make a green unit, or would it have been resprayed - does anyone know? Going by the manual download, it is the SP 10-600.

I have a very old unit, it was my grandfathers. It is grey with a single phase Westate motor. The difference between it and the picture in the SP10-600 manual is that mine has a long lever for raising and lowering the table instead of the wheel. Its a great old machine that still gets weekly use.
