    Default Durden pacemaker safety

Hi all, I'm finally getting my Durden Pacemaker saw bench/planer combo up and running. It came almost complete, with the safety guards separate, not attached. I can attach the safety guard for the planer, but there is no mounting bracket for the safety guard/splitter that goes over the saw blade. I've read through all the Durden Pacemaker forum posts and hope I'm not re-posting, but I haven't found any posts related to my mine. I've posted photos of the guard, how it should attach, and where I'm assuming it attaches. If anyone has a spare bracket (highly unlikely) I'd be interested in purchasing. Failing that, can someone please send me a photo of the bracket from a couple of different angles? I'm not going to attempt to make one myself, but I'll try and find a fitter/turner/engineer type person that may be able to help me out. Any help anyone can provide would be much appreciated, thankyou, regards Mark.

    Hi Mark

There is a manual for the Durden available on the forum. I was only looking at it last week.

The bracket is item 38 in the photo.

Hi Rob, thanks for all your help with the bracket, I've finally got around to having one made up. Now that I'm fitting it, and attaching the splitter to it, I'm just wondering how the splitter lines up with the saw blade. Is the splitter positioned in line with the saw blade? Like in line with the middle of the saw blade? Or is it in line with the outer edge of the saw blade? I'm just not familiar with setting this up, any help you, or someone else, could provide would be much appreciated. I'm so close to start using the saw, and have multiple projects (with steep learning curves) lined up, its pretty exciting! thanks again, cheers Mark.

I have my dads old one which he made a large bent perspex cover over both the blade and the planer blade. I still use this when required -but could deal with at least double HP , But always scared when using (for the things that I want to do) because of the TINY table. With the table BEING the rise and fall. this makes extension tables limited. and the lack of tilt is just ssssssssssso annoying. However for what it is it is almost over-engineered. Solid as all F### not a doubt, but want to make something more than small boxes? certainty dangerous when trying large timbers - just lack of appropriate support.
I do have the bracket that already appears in your photos. Just the riving knife by the way. The hood for practical rather than historical purposes could be made from MANY materials. Just noticed your 1st photo-If this is what holds the riving knife. I will have a look. might invole some kinda bracket or whatever.
If need details can send photos of what I have and how its mounted - if any useful will take close up and multi angle.
