Default Free Scroll saw with free problem

    Free, no strings attached.

Given to me by a friend knowing that it came with a problem with the blade clamping mechanism. Parts for it seem to be scarce but I have seen an after market/retrofit fit out that looks like it would solve the problem. Otherwise the saw is working and seems to have had little use. Would suit a tinkerer with time to tinker, which I don't have. The reason for passing it on is that I'm moving and Im trying to lighten the load. Pick-up from me within two weeks or maybe I could deliver around Melbourne if things workout that way.

Any chance of a closeup of the problem area please? Someone on here may have an easy solution.

I'm in Bittern Cava. I've already posted awhile ago in the Scroll Saw section which includes close ups. Parts diagrams are available freely. I think it's missing a spring clip for the top clamp but they've been discontinued.

Sorry for the late reply Cava, up before the birds working weekdays, I'll try and tee something up over a PM.

    Springwater, Picked-up with many thanks.

It was good to have a chat with a fellow woodworker.
