Galaxy Drill Press repairs
I own a Galaxy 100S Heavy Duty Drill Press and I need to replace the spindle ( No 2 M/T ) and the Drive Sleeve. Both parts are worn. Does any person know where I can purchase these parts?

A lot of drill presses are made in the same factory, painted a different colour and a different badge. Any chance of some pics please, as these could help in coming up with a model and answer. What's wrong with the drive sleeve, is the outer section worn or loose, could it be something simple like a bearing collapsing? The spindle could be a simple repair with a reamer.

The male spline on the drive sleeve is worn. The female spline on the spindle is also worn. The bearings are ok but I will replace those as I have the components apart and cleaned. I purchased the press about 30 years ago and I agree with you that presses were made and rebranded under different names. I've looked a the Sears website re the Craftsman brand and I'm sure they produced a unit similar but I hope there may be a supplier in Aus.
