Default Habco Homeshop parts identification help

    Gday members.
I was recently given a Habco Homeshop with some of the original accessories.
I'm learning more and more about this little gem, but the items in the photos included have me somewhat stumped.
The blades, each a different thickness.
The cylinder, after downloading the manual from here, (thank you so much by the way), I think it might be for the router use.
If it isn't, can someone advise me what it is for please?
If it is for the router use, can the cutters still be sourced.
    Thanks in advance
    Kymbo

The cutters look like a Dado set for trenching and cutting housing joints

Thanks China, I reckon you are right, just need the 2 saw blades that fit either side.

I have discovered the slotted cylinder is called a "French Head Router Cutter Spindle".

Now, does anyone know if the router cutters for this spindle are available still, or would it be more feasible to have a new spindle made to fit more common router bits?

    Thanks again
    Kymbo

The type of cutter used in the head is like the cutters used in spindle moulders except it is one piece with a profile on each end, any competent sharpening service could grind the cutters
to your specification the high end Cabinet Makers in SA all use Complete saw works ( no affiliation although I highly recommend them) it is not a cheap process. In all honesty you would probably be better to invest in a hand held router

Cheer's China and Lappa. I do have a more modern router table, Im keen to set this Homeshop up to route mate lol.
Having a yarn with a mate last night, he thinks he may know someone who can turn me up a new short spindle to accept collars and new style router bits.
I'll maybe follow that up, also keep the French Head spindle, never know when a set of cutters comes along.
    Thanks again.

I also have a Homeshop but it is missing most attachments. Do you have the mortising head? I'm not too fussed with the spindle moulder but I think I could use the mortiser.
The guy I bought it off is going to look for the extra bits when he cleans his shed out but I'm not holding my breath.
Those were the droids I was looking for.

    NCArcher.
Nah sorry mate, no mortising head mate.
Mine probably has the basics, but just for completion I'd love to get a hold of the rest of the acc's for it.
I have the face sander, french head spindle, these dado cutters, saw blades, grinder wheels, planer/buzzer. I think that's it.
The list of attachments is quite big, these are some acc's that I have been able to find out so far.
    Disc sander
    Horizontal drill
    Drum sander (horizontal/vertical)
    Belt sander
    lathe
    Mortising head
    Planer
    Thicknesser
    Air compressor
    Router/spindle moulder
    Dovetail jig
    Circular saw
    Bandsaw
    Grinder
    Polisher/buff
