HAFCO L-69A Belt & Disc Sander
https://www.machineryhouse.com.au/L107
Currently on sale for $379 so I am very tempted to pick it up. Does anyone who has one have any feedback on this unit? I'm not too worried about the disc sander, it's the belt sander I think I will mostly be using.

Hi Alkahestic,
Don’t have one of these but do have a 12 inch H&F disc sander which works very well, plus a 4 inch belt/6 inch disc sander.
If I was going for just the belt sander I think I’d go for the oscillating version, albeit at a higher price. However, I find the disc sander very useful for getting perfect mitres - the smaller one for inlay banding and the larger one for box sides.
Good hunting!
Brian

I looked at this unit and others of similar size and power, eventually the decision came down to ease of using the belt linisher with wide and/or long items.
The H&F unit has the disc sander in the way of long or wide items, so it was eventually discarded as a possibility. The unit that looked the best and had reasonable power was the Timbecon unit.

Thanks for the feedback Brian, Mick, and mature one. I hadn't really thought about the disc getting in the way. I'm not in a rush so I may wait until Timbecon has a promo going, or the new tool itch grows too strong
