Default Mitre saw or SCMS zero clearance tape

Has anyone used this zero clearance tape on their mitre saw or SCMS?

    https://www.timbecon.com.au/site-sho...clearance-tape

I’ve got a job coming up with 90 plus cuts on my SCMS that I can’t afford to get any tear out on. I’ve layer down three layers of blue painters tape and it seems to work but was wondering whether I should buy some of this.

The strips on my SCMS are adjusted fully in and have always had a larger gap than the blade kerf.

    Cheers

I replaced my Ryobi plastic plate which had a fair gap between the edge and the blade with an MDF plate which works very well as a zero clearance plate. Lasts quite a while too.

I don't think I have used a product from Fastcap that doesn't do what they say, I wish they would make a metric version of their drill index. They are a fascinating company in every way, have a look at their videos on their warehouse facility and how it works.

No but it is on my wish list. or I might 3D print one.
Thinking further, I will probably 3D print one when I get around to it. Gotta get the 3D printer working again first. What SCMS do you have?

I have one on my SCMS. Virtually no tear out even with my not so sharp blade.
