Spindle Sander Question
Recently I've been looking at spindle sanders to sand curves. I typically deal with 3 1/2" sometimes 4" deep stock. My questions is, would a 4 1/2" tall spindle sander or oscillating spindle sander accomodate 4" stock?
Would something like:
DELTA SA350K Shopmaster Boss
or Grizzly G0538 1/3 Hp Oscillating Spindle Sander
work for 4" stock?

Specs say the stroke is 22mm. It may cover the full 4" of the part, but not all of the workpiece will be in contact with the grit at the same time. You'll need a 5" spindle
