Default Thicknessers - Dewalt 735 Vs Carbatecc

    Hi Guys,

My budget seems to be stretching ( albeit I have to wait a bit longer for the thicknesser).

I keep reading reviews on the Carbatec CT330X that show its quite a nice machine and definitely a step up from the $400 machines.

Likewise I also see the Dewalt 735 mentioned.

Any recommendations out of the two?

I like the spiral head on the Carbatec!

    G'Day "hellowfellow",
My vote is for the Dewalt 735 which I got about 2-3 months ago...
The 3 blade cutter is great giving a beautifully smooth clean finish; BUT saying that I already have a Byrd Spiral Cutter Head to install into the the 735.
I read so may reviews on the Dewalt 735 with the Byrd Spiral Cutter Head both here and in North America, for my money it's the way to go.
Save your pennies a little longer, buy the Dewalt 735 and use it until you have enough saved to the Byrd Spiral Cutter Head.
I as some have bought the cheaper machinery in the past as to what I could afford at the time but IMHO it would have made some much more sense to wait & save for the better machine.
    Cheers, crowie
