    Default Triton Spindle sander

Does anyone have experience of the Triton spindle sander? Good or bad?
    Thanks.

Seems to be the same as the Schepac unit, just a different colour. Very happy with mine, reasonably quiet, using a vacuum cleaner as the dust extractor works well. A variety of different grit sleeves are available from Hardware with Creative Finishes and probably The Sandpaper Man. Hare & Forbes and Carbatec only have a limited range of grits.
    Hope this helps.

I have the Triton spindle sander which I use sparingly. It works well enough for what I do. The oscillating action is kind of clunky. It isn't a smooth transition between moving downwards to upwards. It's not a huge deal but I find it annoying enough that I focus on it rather than the line I am trying to sand to. Doesn't actually affect the edge finish. I primarily use it for refining bandsawn edges of MDF router templates.

I've had one for a while and so far have no issues. I am quite happy with it, and the price was an awful lot less than for the Jet. No regrets.
