If you can give a little information about the sort of work you like to do, that might impact the answer - e.g. if you're a woodturner, then a bandsaw is just marvellous, but if you're making boxes, a table saw would probably be preferred...

just to follow up on this. I ended up selling the TS for about $100 less than i got it for new and got a BP-355 bandsaw. It's been a night and day difference to be honest and i much prefer the BS, definitely would not go back to having a table saw for my usage of doing mostly hand tool woodworking. Kind of an expensive mistake but a lesson learned i guess.

Unfortunately it's winter here and i've been trying it out by resawing our firewood down into blocks and tiny boards. The wife was not impressed !

Sirex, she will be impressed if you make a few boxes out of this "firewood". Some of us make boxes that ARE to be firewood

Make a few pens too. Ive found some amazing timber inside of the firewood pile... ask DustEater who sends me some of his "firewood". Amazing.

As for Bandsaw, yes, I use mine a lot now. Since I'm doing more kids based things, the furniture is smaller and more enjoyable to cut up on that. The thickness sander and jointer are right next to it, so its a quicker operation.
