Default TTI Belt sander toothed drive belt hunt

Opened her up and there was around the top drive wheel was a tangle of yellow string - belt disintegrated entirely

Any ideas where I could get a spare?

I don't know if this will help you but there is some information in the ad if you read through it all. I have no idea what he is on about with the price
The belt down the side panel shows a 230 H which might be the right No. but it would be best to take your machine to a place that sells bearings and belts for industry and they will measure it up for you and get the right one.
Below is a listing from the Gates site. Measure the pitch of the teeth and if it is 1/2" the listing could be right, but I wouldn't rely on that and would get it checked out by the experts as I don't think there is any adjustment of the pulley centres.

Trouble is the machine is very heavy and I cant pick it up these days.
Even 15 years ago when I first got it I had trouble lifting it onto the bench.

looks as though I'm going to have to get by without the top belt.
It did one job that can be done other ways.
A pity though and I don't feel like buying one of the little machines, cheap and all as they are.
This one has decent cast iron table and it's a good solid old machine.

Have you tried Total Tools? I’ve found them good for ordering in spare parts for a few of their tools.
    Cheers

I agree with DJ as your first option. If they can't help out you might be able to give us some details from your pulleys etc and we might be able to calculate the belt you need.
Just found this site and it doesn't look good for your search which is amazing as these sanders seem to be sold under many different brands. Hopefully it's different here in Aus.
