Woodfast table saw combo?
Groovers, recently I acquired a used Woodfast table saw combo Attachment 360870
The saw came without the electrical starter/switch and I was wondering if you beautiful people had any info on which to buy? I might look at used as the saw will be in a home hobby situation only. Regards Damien.DSC05962.jpgI'm a dancing fool! The beat goes on and I'm so wrong!!!!

We'll need a bit more info. Single phase or 3 phase? Motor size?
What exactly is still there? Any wiring at all? Those were the droids I was looking for.

Match the starter to your motor size. I'm guessing around 3kW?
Something like this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/WEG-DLW-E...item2c9f2ee815.
You can go slightly bigger but you need to keep it close so the thermal overload protection will be able to be adjusted within range of the motor full load current.
That should give you an idea of what you're up for anyway.
If you need a 3 phase lead and plug and a new socket to suit installed you will be up for quite a bit more. Those were the droids I was looking for.

People, I had another look at the motor. I could not find any other information about it. There was no plate on it anywhere so I just took some pictures and hope this helps.
NCArcher thanks for the detailed information and link. Regards Damien.I'm a dancing fool! The beat goes on and I'm so wrong!!!!

Check that bit of paper in the bottom of the terminal box. It's possibly the motor connection diagram that has fallen off the terminal box lid.
Those were the droids I was looking for.

According to the 1979 Blackwoods catalogue, that particular Woodfast combination was fitted with a 3HP, 4HP or 5HP motor depending on the diameter of the saw blade being 14", 15" or 16".

Thanks Chas, I would not like to see a 16" blade on this machine. Rather scary I think. Damien.
