Default Alusync 200 tig torch conenction

I have owned a Token Tools Alusync 200 Tig Arc Plasma machine for about 12 months and found that I could not connect the Tig torch through the machine because of the diffrent thread used for the Plasma torch
So today I made an adptor from a bit of Brass with a M 14 fine thread in one end and a 3/8 bspt thread as this is the common thread for Oxy torch connects

Has anybody incounted this problen before and how did you fix it?

    Hi Boilermaker ,

The threaded connector on the alusync tig welder is used for the plasma cutter torch and also functions as the gas supply for the Tig torch. The power connector for the Tig torch is the dinse socket immediately below this threaded connector, it is labeled as (-ve). The job clamp is connected to the (+ve) socket at the top of the connector panel.

It sounds like you are trying to connect an after market torch to the machine, is this correct? The Tig torch simply plugs into the dinse socket (twist it to lock) and then the gas line goes on to the threaded connection on the panel as does the two pin switch plug.

Call me on 1300 881 991 if you need assistance.

    Regards
    Pete ( tokentools welding )
