I was also looking at Kemppi, since I have their little stick inverter. I found that rapidwelding in the UK sells parts for them, but they're not cheap.

Why don't the torches fit? Isn't it just a standard dinse connector? And any gas fittings, you'll be able to replace.

CK are pretty good with emails. They helped me out when I was trying to decipher their catalogue. Maybe ask them for advice directly?

If you need a pedal, I got a SSC. They don't directly list Kemppi but they might have advice.

    Hello Legion,
The Kemppi doesn't use a dinse connector, it has a male 1/4” BSP that supplies power and gas to the torch.

I have contacted CK Worldwide and they palmed me off to BOC as a local distributor. BOC were useless, no decent stock level or product knowledge. The US sells there hoses with a male 5/8”-18 RH fittings on both ends for all there gas torches that rate 200 amp, like the one I’m after, the CK Trimline 210
Rapidwelding sells there hose packages with a 3/4” BSP fitting, but the do have a adaptor that will fit the Kemppi. There price is however nearly three times the price of the same product in the US. Either way I’m stuffed.
I melted the kemppi torch head, trying it out on some heavy aluminium. I phoned Kemppi this morning, and they told me that the flex torch head TTC 220 is only rated at 130 amp – 100% duty cycle, no good for 4 – 5 mm aluminium.
Weldfabulous sells the item for US $119.75
Rapidweld sells the same item for AUD $315.56 plus $12.95 for adaptor.
    Any idea’s.

    Regards

    Con

Buy the CK, cut the end off and attach the 1/4" BSP? I think you can buy the bare hose from CK (or their resellers). I bought a CK Flex-loc, the 150A model, and the stock fittings also weren't compatible with my American welder that it was specified for since the Australian importer changes the gas fitting. So I went to the very helpful local welding store and they dug around out the back until they found me the right fitting. It cost me a couple of dollars from memory. One of the guys on here had the same welder and same issues so I knew what to ask for.

If you want me to take some pictures of the stock hose fitting on my torch leads I can do that for you. Then you could see how easy it would be to change the fittings on one. Not before the weekend though.

Did you get Sjon from CK? He was super helpful to me in working out part numbers I needed, but not so much on regional differences since it's got nothing to do with them.

    Legion,
I would be more than happy to cut off the fitting and replace with 1/4 BSP, but I’ve spent hours and hours looking for one to no avail, that will do both power and gas.

BOC wont be able to help you, they don't even know that there torches are a CK product or who CK are.
I would be requesting CK to make you one with a female 1/4” BSP with gas through hose. And get a couple of torches with spares.
The pin connector plug wouldn't be too hard to work out for an on off switch.

    cwcarter,
Dealing with BOC gave me a headache, absolutely no clue about there products.

I both emailed and spoke to CK Worldwide, but still no help. I even offered to pay whatever they wanted to charge me for a custom hose, but still no go.
The lady I spoke to at CK Bonny Sims was polite but not helpful.

So I called CK Worldwide last night, and who ever picked up the phone was in some hi-end position because when I explained my frustration in tiring to purchase the hose he jumped into action, all I could hear is him screaming at somebody in the background. When he got back on the phone, he asked me for my phone number and that someone will ring shortly. Less than 2 minutes later CK rings back asking for my home address, I ask why, he replies because the boss wants to send you the hose at no cost.
Go figure. Well chalk one up to CK.

Well now I'm jealous. I want a free lead too. I'm going to get a trimline 210 when funds allow anyway ...

As for what master5med3 said, I think CK have an exceptional customer service policy. The Rapid guys spoke with them in the US about my hose issue and CK told them to give me a free hose. Rapid the the leg work, and CK sent them another hose. So, I should really credit both CK and Rapid for being all round great companies.
