Sounds like you're on your way to having a good plane, but need some parts to make it complete. Can we possibly get some photos? From your description it sounds like you need the iron (the blade), the cap iron (the metal piece that attaches to the blade), the cap iron screw, the lever cap, and possibly the lever cap screw.

Nonetheless, we definitely need some photos to confirm this.

Your plane could be a bit "newer" than 1910. The Apr - 19 - 10 is the patent date, and that one was on there for several iterations of the plane up until the 1930s.

Also, your plane is actually a Stanley plane. The "Bailey" on the toe is more like the model. Stanley was making two lines of bench planes during this timeframe. Bailey style planes are the "standard", classic model. The others were called Stanley Bedrock, and are shaped differently and have a slightly different adjustment mechanism for the frog position.

Hi Jamie; and welcome to the forums! There are quite a few plane collectors here so you'll be spoilt for advice!

Have a look at THIS WEBSITE, it's the Rexmill Stanley type study. From what you've described if there is only the single 1910 patent date then it will be either a type 13 or 14, putting it somewhere between 1925-1930. Just need to look at how the front knob is fitted to work out which. The type study has lots of photos and to me is an invaluable guide.

I'll also point you towards Patrick Leach's "Blood and Gore" and Hans Brunner's "Stanley planes by number"; these form two a condensed history of every bench plane Stanley ever made.

I have read a few different sites but I've yet to read Patrick's blood and gore. I do plan to read it shortly. I have been lookong around on eBay today as well. I am going to try the electrosis method to clean it up. I do want to use it and i do plan on buying more. I want to find some other ones as well. I looked at jointer plane yesterday and a rabbet plane, i hope that's the right names. I'm trying to understand the parts of the planes so that I get a better understanding of how they operate. I built a few pieces of furniture and done some other projects but always with electric tools. I would like to expand my craft and use hand tools.
I am going to be on the lookout for more saws. I want to find some nice hand saws, preferably vintage. My father in law picked up a really nice vintage table saw made by tool craft, seems it was made by JC Penney. Thank you for the help. I am open to any advice at this point, i just say I think this is going to be an addiction. I love vintage things, especially tools.

Yep; type 13 made between 1925 and 1928.

Clean everything up with turps and a toothbrush, I wouldn't bother with electrolysis. Get it all degreased then scrape any heavy rust with an old utility knife blade and buff with a wire brush attachment on a grinder or a drill.

There are dealers who will hold the missing parts; the cracked wooden knob and tote can be repaired with epoxy.
