A rather old blade
Picked this up a while ago in a mixed bag of blades. The stamp says "D KREMENDAHL GARANTIE", a "T" is stamped on the other side
The blade is laminated and tapers from about 4mm thick at the cutting end to about 2mm at the top
For those of you who speak German (or can figure out the Google translation) there's this link (it's a long document, you'll need to use the search function): http://stadtgeschichte-wuppertal.de/...nbergText2.pdf
The ox head logo above the name was first registered in 1781 for a nail manufacturer, it seems that Daniel Kremendahl inherited the company some time in the early-mid 1800s

Anyone got any more info? It'd be great to be able to put a date to it.

There is a German site that catalogs German and other Euro manufacturers.
Most of it is still in German but there is an English index.

Always worth a look. A link to your maker here:
Deutsche Werkzeughersteller und -händler: Daniel Kremendahl, Wuppertal-Cronenberg
