    Default O Dear

Now I must admit I've had a few false starts with various projects over the years.
I'm sure I'm not alone there.
But for the love of money really!!!

    What? Who'd complain about 14"?

    Hi,
It would make a good canvas for a painting.

any thoughts on what saw was cut down to make that one?

In the plane world you have "frankenplanes", what is the equivalent term in the saw world?

    Ian,
I would have a guess and say it's a cut down mitre saw.
The depth of blade and the heaviness of the back.
But that is just a educated guess.

Im sure the seller can sell it,I'm not sure it will sell at the current price, I think they need to move decimal point maybe to the left a little bit.

but apart from a source of steel for scraper blades, what would you use the saw for?

I note that except for the tooth line, the saw plate is well "cleaned"

I've seen a number of saws in this configuration over the past few years - makes me wonder if there is some niche application such as cutting tenons for log building or some such.
