Falcon F220
Hi,
I have a very nice Falcon F220 block plane which I am planning to sell. Trouble is ! have no idea of what to ask for it. Its in really good nick.
I know they are really rare because I have been unable to find much about them using Google or Ebay searches.
I am cleaning out my shed so, sadly, it has to go.
Anyone have an idea of what I should ask for it?
Thank you in advance
Steve

Not all that rare Steve. If you want rare try a Turner 220 ($600 and going North).
I reckon a F220 would be about $30 to $40 tops
Doggiedepending on nick and where you sell it.

They don't fetch more than a Stanley 220 here in Canada, usually less. (not that Canadian prices have any relevance to your original question)
They're not particularly common here, about the same abundance for F220 as for other Falcons, with odd Falcons seeming to turn up fairly regularly at local estate auctions, and I find it interesting that Falcons were shipped to North America for head-to-head competition with the local Stanley planes. I have the F220, along with F6, F5, F4-1/2, 9-IN in my "collection", and have seen other sizes but only buy if less cost than Stanley (because that makes the hunt more challenging, and any idiot with money can pay full retail prices)
