Default Help, W Marples & Sons... dates, please?

I can't make sense of the info on the web about chisels marked - W. Marples & Sons, Sheffield, with the Trefoil/Shamrock stamp, for socketed, hooped mortice chisels.
Can anyone help me out? I am confused.

I am after dates, so I can put this in the right toolbox.
    Cheers,
    Clinton

That archive link is one that I looked at. All I can work out is its maybe post-1875 (triple shamrock stamp).I think I need more brain power.
    Any Marples people out there?

The name is W MARPLES & SONS, SHEFFIELD, with the triple Shamrock above it.
Its a 1/4" socketed, hooped Mortice chisel, 10" length from top of socket to tip.
The handle has a double inscribed line, top and bottom,
    Cheers,
    Clinton
