Any one help me with a Sargent plane?
Bought a Sargent Jack plane, so a 414, the 400 series, 14” long.
The lever cap it came with is a Stanley, which will work, but I’d like to hunt down a matching Sargent one.
My Sargent are all in storage and so is my Identification book by David Heckle.
Can anyone help me id what lever cap matches the logo design on the blade?
It’s the oval logo with “SARGENT & Co” at the top, “U.S.A” in the middle and “NEw Haven CT.” on the bottom.
(Pic to follow when I work that out)
Thanking you in advance

Thank you Bill, I wasn’t aware there was an online resource.
It seems to be a type 2.
