Oil Stone Holder
Hi all...... Just wondering if anyone knows anything about this Oil Stone Holder... A mate of mine has it and was wanting to know a bit more about it. It has me stumped...To me it looks like it may be off some sort of machine as the legs have a hole up the center of each and there are grub screw that would tighten on to a post that would slide into each leg.

I haven't seen one before, but it looks like if it had four spikes sticking from them holes it would grip a log well so it could be for an axe ? Or a bush butcher to do knives with?

Thanks Rob..... hadn't thought of the spikes thing......We have tried to check what the patent number was.. but just doesn't appear as far as I can see. The application was made in the 50's possibly 1953-1956 era
