Old Peerless bandsaw
Have picked up an old 30" Peerless bandsaw. Not sure of its age but it is driven by a flat belt and has oiler's rather than grease nipples on the bearings. My problem is that it needs new tyres and I am strugling to find them. Can anyone point me towards a local company that sells large bandsaw tyres. Have tried Carter in the USA but shipping is a killer.

Bandsaw tyres
Hi, I am a bit out of date re this but Wolfenden in Melbourne used to do these but they seem to have disappeared ? I have personally used a company many years ago in Sydney who vulcanised and then ground my old wheels.
They mainly did rollers for printing machinery so that may be worth chasing up in Tas.
One old mate said that they allways did their own in cork.
They are definitelly available in the 'states I helped a mate do his in San Fran in the 90s. They shouldn't be that heavy surely a prepaid standard box wouldn't be that expensive.

I haven't used them myself but I know of several who have and speak highly of their services in re-rubbering wheels.Tasroll Engineering Pty Ltd

Finally got hold of Tasroll and he can do the wheels for about $120 each so I'll go with him.
