Yup. The No.22 drills to the centre of a 15" circle; the No.23 drills to the centre of a 18" circle; and the No.24 drills to the centre of a 22" circle.

Why they're measured that way I don't know? Surely it's more enlightening to say - 7 1/2" reach; 9' reach; and 11" reach - but who am I to argue with 120 years of convention?

    Cheers, Vann.

Yup, that's the model I fell in love with a few years ago.

Have you just bought that one?

Although I think the restoration on this one is a bit over-the-top.

Anyways, I bought one two weeks ago. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/List...x?id=738489973

It's not perfect (has a hole drilled through the main casting just below the "No.22") and it's way up in Auckland. My sister picked it up for me, but it will be at her place until I next go to Auckland (January 2015 ). And no doubt there will be other faults. But I'm a happy chappy.

That one looks in pretty good nick actually (the hole aside) although the photo is pretty small.

I love this model,http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/181444433...84.m1436.l2649 asking way to much for me.
    Lovely ratchet and cam design.

Excellent, we can compare notes while doing them up (you may get a head start on me )

Looks like a No.1 (not No.530 ) as the No.2 & No.3 had a wheel cam-follower on the auto-feed arm. I think it may be an earlier one, as it has the older 3-spoke flywheel.

I agree the asked price is higher than the going rate (some photos from the auction attached as the e-bay photos won't be around for long).

Yeah only recently got the internet connected at the new place. Had to make sure I could pay all the other bills first. Got a lot of things to do on the place, so might not be as frequent as before. Probably a relief to the forumites
