Thornley MBT mystery
Hi all ,
I bought this mystery Thornley combo bench saw/ planer off gym tree a little while ago as a project restoration . I thought this would be easy .... well to my surprise there next to little information about this machine let alone finding another one for parts . It actually looks like this one was used for parts to restore another machine . The mystery now is to learn more about Thornley and the Machines they made . I'd be really interested to see if anyone has a picture of a similar machine . I'm trying to work out what parts are missing and how it looks complete . I've attached the photos of my machine . Thanks in advance tom

I have the 6" jointer same as yours except mine came on a crappy wooden base . A mate of mine welded up a 20 x 20mm frame and we attached that to it. Along with my light 10" Scheppach tablesaw, they were our standard site machines for a long time on bigger renos.

There was an MBT combo Tablesaw/Jointer that sold for $275 in what looked like pretty good condition the other day on eBay.
