    Default Tool Restoration Supplies

    I have been using industrial vinegar from the Big Green Shed since I can't find a source of citric acid. When I ask there, I get blank looks.

    Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    I imagine that ordering it in powdered form over the internet (a kilo of suspicious looking white powder coming through the post), may not be the best option.

    Citric Acid is a food additive so it's pretty safe.

    Many wood and tool clubs supply it however you can usually buy it in more useful quantities than Coles from a Mediterranean grocery store.

    And you'll find that normal vinegar is cheaper than 'speciality' cleaning vinegar (the only difference is the price!).

    I purchased from a business that supplied pool and cleaning chemicals, when I was selling the stuff. You should get a 25kg bag for about $70 or so.
