Waldown 8" Bench Grinder
Being a Kiwi, I know next to nothing about Waldown gear. But I noticed this listed over this side of the ditch and thought I'd post it for your interest.

I have a cheap Bergin-badged 8" bench grinder (bought in Mt Gambier, SA, in 1981), so I'm not intending to bid on this - but I like the heavy castings and that fabulous stand. Is the stand a genuine Waldown accessory?

I've never seen a stand like that before.
The grinder would be of a later vintage than the stand at a guess.
I would buy it for the stand if it were close by and cheap.

Second hand without the stand they usually sell at auction for min $100 (3ph), on ebay much more. That stand isn't Waldown to my knowledge but is absolutely stunning…buy it …buy it..buy it!
* Just noted this one is a rarer 240V which sell for much bigger money second hand than the more common and less home shop useful 3ph. It also is in orginal condition with its screen, and holders 99% time missing and original rests.…..Live a Quiet Life & Work with your Hands

You guys are a bad influence on me
I've been corresponding with DSEL off-forum. I've been "told" to buy a camelback drill press as well. And when I get home from work tonight I'm sending him a link to another item of vintage machinery - I know already I'll be "advised" to buy that too .
I love this place .

It sold for $275 NZD.
I certainly couldn't justify that (I'd have to go without the next post drill that comes up ).
Nice legs though...
